Taxonomy
Wrangellium was named by Pessagno and Whalen (1982) [Sepkoski's age data: J Sine-u J Toar-l Sepkoski's reference number: 756,763]. Its type is Wrangellium thurstonense.

It was assigned to Parvicingulidae by Kiessling (1995); to Wrangelliinae by Yeh (1987) and De Wever et al. (2001); and to Nassellaria by Sepkoski (2002).
