Palliseria was named by Wilson (1924) [Sepkoski's age data: ]. It is not extant. Its type is Palliseria robusta.
It was assigned to Maclureadae by Knight et al. (1960) and Linsley and Kier (1984); and to Macluritina by Sepkoski (2002).
