Taxonomy
Abylea minuta was named by Sturgeon (1964). It is not extant. Its type locality is Mmu-1. Abandoned strip mines, 4 miles south of Dresden, which is in a Desmoinesian marine shale in the Allegheny Formation of Ohio.
