Taxonomy
Aremellia batteni was named by Webers et al. (1992). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Feather Edge on NE side of Springer Peak, Heritage Range, which is in a Dresbachian perireef or subreef limestone in the Minaret Formation of Antarctica. It is the type species of Aremellia.
