Amphelissa carinatum
Taxonomy
Austerum carinatum was named by Heidecker (1959). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Lowes Basin, near old Dalrymple township, 25 miles now of Charters Towers, which is in a Givetian shallow subtidal limestone/sandstone in the Burdekin Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Austerum.
It was recombined as Amphelissa carinatum by Cook (1997) and Wagner (2023).
