Avalanchia pterocarina
Taxonomy
Avalanchia pterocarina was named by Caldwell and Chatterton (1995). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Fauna j, Section AV4, Delorme Fm., Mackenzie Mts., which is in a Whitwellian slope limestone/shale in the Delorme Formation of Canada. It is the type species of Avalanchia.
