Taxonomy
Brokenriveria virginensis was named by Cook et al. (2003). It is not extant. Its type locality is QML 1161. First bend in creek from spring due south of Teichert Hills, which is in a Famennian marine grainstone/sandstone in the Virgin Hills Formation of Australia.
