Cornuella parva was named by Stinchcomb (1986). It is not extant. Its type locality is Locality III, Eminence Formation, Crawford County, Missouri - Stinchcomb 1986, which is in a Trempealeauan reef, buildup or bioherm chert in the Eminence Formation of Missouri.
