Cyclonema (Cyclonema) modestum was named by Poulsen (1974) [Cyclonema (Cyclonema?) modestum Poulsen 1974]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Locality 3. Southwestern tip of Washington Land, into Kane Basin & Kennedy Chann, which is in a Llandovery reef, buildup or bioherm mudstone in the Offley Island Formation of Greenland.
It was recombined as Cyclonema modestum by Wagner (2023).
