Cyrtolites tuboides was named by Perner (1903) [Cyrtolites tuboides Barrande in Perner 1903]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Praha-Jinovice, which is in a Gorstian carbonate limestone/lime mudstone in the Kopanina Formation of the Czech Republic.
It was recombined as Isospira tuboides by Reed (1921).
