Taxonomy
Decorospira rigbyi was named by Blodgett and Johnson (1992). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USNM 10802. 9100 feet ESE of Western Peak, Roberts Mountains, which is in an Eifelian marine packstone in the Denay Limestone Formation of Nevada.
