Vologdinophyllum was named by Radugin (1962) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Atda]. It is not extant. It is the type genus of Vologdinophylloidea, Vologdinophyllidae.
It was assigned to Cribricyathea by Sepkoski (2002); and to Vologdinophyllidae by Zhuravlev and Kruse (2015).
