Taxonomy
Eirlysia exquisita was named by Batten (1956). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is PU3, Apache Canyon, Sierra Diablo, which is in a Kungurian shallow subtidal limestone in the Bone Spring Formation of Texas.
