Taxonomy
Euphemites sparciliratus was named by Yochelson (1960). It is not extant. Its type specimen is AMNH 28185. Its type locality is AMNH512, Guadalupe Pass, Guadalupe Mountains, which is in a Roadian slope limestone in the Cherry Canyon Formation of Texas.
