Cassubia was named by Lendzion (1977) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Atda-l]. Its type is Cassubia infercambriensis.

It was assigned to Anomalocarididae by Dzik and Lendzion (1988); and to Radiodonta by Sepkoski (2002).
