Glabrocingulum (Glabrocingulum) binodosum was named by Sadlick and Nielsen (1963) [Glabrocingulum (Glabrocingulum) binodosum Sadlick & Nielsen 1963]. It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Glabrocingulum binodosum by Rollins (1975), Jeffery et al. (1994) and Wagner (2023).
