Glabrocingulum (Glabrocingulum) globosum was named by Kues and Batten (2001) [Glabrocingulum (Glabrocingulum) globosum Kues & Batten 2001]. It is not extant. Its type locality is Talpa, which is in a Desmoinesian delta front shale/sandstone in the Flechado Formation of New Mexico.
It was recombined as Glabrocingulum globosum by Wagner (2023).
