Taxonomy
Globispira acuta was named by Pitcher (1939). It is not extant. Its type locality is Marshbrook Faulted Outlier, Shelve Outliers, Shropshire, which is in an Aeronian carbonate shale in the Pentamerus Sandstone Formation of the United Kingdom.
