Gyroma baconnierensis was named by Oehlert and Oehlert (1888). It is not extant. Its type locality is Saint-Roch quarry, north of Saint Ouen-des-Toitsand, which is in a Pragian carbonate limestone in the Saint Céneré Formation of France.
