Taxonomy

Hemithecella eminensis was named by Stinchcomb and Darrough (1995). It is not extant. Its type locality is Locality I, abandoned barite pits two miles north of Potosi, which is in a Trempealeauan reef, buildup or bioherm chert in the Eminence Formation of Missouri.

Synonyms

Elongata perplexa was named by Stinchcomb and Darrough (1995). It is not extant. Its type locality is Loc. H-2: Nr. Old Mines,, which is in a Trempealeauan reef, buildup or bioherm chert in the Eminence Formation of Missouri.

It was synonymized subjectively with Hemithecella eminensis by Pojeta et al. (2010).
Hemithecella elongata was named by Stinchcomb and Darrough (1995). It is not extant. Its type locality is Loc. H-2: Nr. Old Mines,, which is in a Trempealeauan reef, buildup or bioherm chert in the Eminence Formation of Missouri.

It was synonymized subjectively with Hemithecella eminensis by Pojeta et al. (2010).
