Gamizyga corpulentissima

Taxonomy
Hemizyga (Hemizyga) corpulentissima was named by Knight (1930). Its type specimen is YPM 13002, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is SL-1. Headwaters of Feefee Creek, north of Olive St. & west of Lindberg Blvd., 1.5 km northwest of Stratmann (Olivette), which is in a Moscovian offshore shale in the Appanoose Formation of Missouri.

It was recombined as Plocezyga (Gamizyga) corpulentissima by Hoare and Sturgeon (1980); it was recombined as Gamizyga (Gamizyga) corpulentissima by Hoare and Sturgeon (1980); it was recombined as Gamizyga corpulentissima by Wagner (2023).
