Micrina was named by Laurie (1986) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Atda-u Sepkoski's reference number: 923,1006]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Mitrosagophora by Sepkoski (2002); and to Tannuolinidae by Li and Xiao (2004) and Holmer et al. (2008).

G. Li and S. Xiao 2004Micrina can be distinguished from Tannuolina by its bilaterally symmetrical mitral sclerites that bear two teeth, the absence of pores on the apical area of mitral sclerites, and the absence of a well-developed sella in sellate sclerites.
