Taxonomy
Lamellospira alveozona was named by Kulas and Batten (1997). It is not extant. Its type locality is AMNH B70103, USGS Meade Peak Trench, Coal Creek Meadows, Teton County, which is in a Wuchiapingian marine lime mudstone/grainstone in the Park City Formation of Wyoming.
