Pseudozygopleura (Leptozyga) venustus was named by Hoare and Sturgeon (1981) [= Pseudozygopleura (Leptozyga) cf. minuta Hoare & Sturgeon 1978b p. pl. 1 f. 12]. It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Leptozyga venustus by Wagner (2023).
