Loxonema dalecarlicum was named by Angelin and Lindström (1880) [Loxonema dalecarlicum Lindström in Angelin & Lindström 1880]. It is not extant. Its type locality is Ostbjörka, Kullsberg Formation, which is in a Keila/Oandu marine limestone in the Kullsberg Formation of Sweden.
