Pleurotomaria (Oehlertia) senilis was named by Perner (1907) [Pleurotomaria (Oehlertia) senilis Barrande in Perner 1907]. It is not extant. Its type locality is Area between the villages of Měňany and Koněprusy, which is in a Pragian marine horizon in the Praha Formation of the Czech Republic. It is the type species of Pleurotomaria (Oehlertia).
It was recombined as Oehlertia senilis by Knight (1941) and Tassell (1982); it was recombined as Quadricarina senilis by Wagner (2023).
