Platyceras (Orthonychia) belli was named by Clarke (1908) [Platyceras (Orthonychia) belli Clarke 1908]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Grand Grève, which is in a Pragian carbonate limestone in the Grande Greve Formation of Canada.
