It was recombined as Raphistoma canadensis by Whitfield (1886); it was recombined as Ophileta canadensis by Ulrich et al. (1931) and Stauffer (1937); it was recombined as Raphistomina canadensis by Wilson (1956); it was recombined as Ceratopea canadensis by Yochelson and Copeland (1974), Desbiens et al. (1996) and Wagner (2023).
