Pleurotomaria hamlingii was named by Whidborne (1896) [Pleurotomaria Hamlingii]. It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Worthenia hamlingii by Karapunar and Nützel (2022); it was recombined as Quadricarina hamlingii by Wagner (2023).
