Whidbornia trochoides
Taxonomy
Pleurotomaria trochoides was named by Whidborne (1889). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Lummaton Quarries, West of St. Mary Church, Lummaton Parrish, Torquay, which is in a Givetian carbonate limestone in the Torquay Formation of the United Kingdom.
It was recombined as Whidbornia trochoides by Heidelberger (2001) and Wagner (2023).
