Pseudozygopleura acuminata
Taxonomy
Pseudozygopleura (Pseudozygopleura) acuminata was named by Knight (1930) [Pseudozygopleura (Pseudozygopleura) acuminata]. Its type specimen is YPM 12981, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is SL-1. Headwaters of Feefee Creek, north of Olive St. & west of Lindberg Blvd., 1.5 km northwest of Stratmann (Olivette), which is in a Moscovian offshore shale in the Appanoose Formation of Missouri.
It was recombined as Pseudozygopleura acuminata by Hoare and Sturgeon (1985) and Wagner (2023).
