Pseudozygopleura (Pseudozygopleura) cirritus was named by Hoare and Sturgeon (1985) [Pseudozygopleura (Pseudozygopleura) cirritus Hoare & Sturgeon 1985]. It is not extant.

It was recombined as Pseudozygopleura cirritus by Wagner (2023).
