Pseudozygopleura subulatus was named by Hoare and Sturgeon (1981) [Pseudozygopleura (Pseudozygopleura) subulatus Hoare & Sturgeon 1981b]. It is not extant.

It was recombined as Pseudozygopleura (Pseudozygopleura) subulatus by Hoare and Sturgeon (1981).
