Copicyntra was named by Nazarov and Ormiston (1985) [Sepkoski's age data: C Step-u P Guad Sepkoski's reference number: 535]. It is not extant.
It was assigned to Entactiniidae by Feng and Gu (2002); to Spumellaria by Sepkoski (2002); and to Astroentactiniinae by Thassanapak (2015).
