Taxonomy
Sallya linsa was named by Yochelson (1956). Its type specimen is USNM 119151 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is PU3, Apache Canyon, Sierra Diablo, which is in a Kungurian shallow subtidal limestone in the Bone Spring Formation of Texas.
