Taxonomy
Scalaetrochus fragosus was named by Linsley (1968). It is not extant. Its type locality is Brunner Quarry, Unit 15, 1ΒΌ miles northwest of Amherstburg, which is in an Eifelian carbonate limestone in the Lucas Formation of Canada.
