Loxonema (Stylonema) transiens was named by Perner (1907) [Barrande in Perner 1907]. It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Loxonema transiens by Frýda and Bandel (1997); it was recombined as Stylonema transiens by Wagner (2023).
