Taxonomy
Tropidodiscus waratahensis was named by Tassell (1978). It is not extant. Its type locality is Bell Point, Cape Liptrap Peninsula, 150 kilometers south-east of Melbourne, which is in an Emsian carbonate limestone in the Bell Point Limestone Formation of Australia.
