Vallatotheca manitoulini
Taxonomy
Vallatotheca manitoulini was named by Foerste (1914) [Vallatotheca manitoulini Foerste 1914b]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Clay Cliffs, Cape Smyth, which is in a Richmondian carbonate limestone in the Georgian Bay Formation of Canada. It is the type species of Vallatotheca.
It was corrected as Vallatotheca manitoulinensis by Foerste (1924); it was recombined as Tryblidium manitoulini by Knight and Bridge (1944) and Wilson (1951).
