Taxonomy
Aclisina cancellata was named by Mark (1912) [?Aclisina cancellata]. It is not extant. Its type locality is Along the abandoned right of way of the Wabash railroad, near Portersville, which is in a Missourian marine limestone in the Conemaugh Formation of Ohio.

It was recombined as Gamizyga (Plocezyga) cancellata by Hoare and Sturgeon (1980); it was recombined as Ploceozyga (Hyphantozyga) cancellata by Pan and Erwin (2002).
