Floyda obliqua
Taxonomy
Pileolus obliqua was named by Spriesterbach (1919). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Merringhausen bei Finnentrop, which is in a Givetian marine horizon in the Finnentrop Formation of Germany. It is the type species of Pileolus, Scaliconus, Pileolus.
It was recombined as Palaeotrochus obliqua by Knight (1937); it was recombined as Scaliconus obliqua by Spriestersbach (1942); it was recombined as Floyda obliqua by Knight (1941), Day (1987) and Wagner (2023).
