Taxonomy
Fenestella macleayensis was named by Campbell (1962). It is not extant. Its type specimen is F5738 U.N.E.. Its type locality is Oaky Creek section, near Sherwood, 11 miles WNW of Kempsey, which is in a Westphalian marine siltstone/mudstone in the Booral Formation of Australia.
