Diagnosis
ReferenceDiagnosis
D. B. Blake and B.S. Kues 2002Goniasterid with a flattened body. Abactinals rather low, discoidal but weakly domed medially, at least some bearing spine pustules. Abactinals polygonal, some weakly stellate (for papulae). Abactinals in disc region enlarged. Carinal series weakly differentiated. Marginals, especially superomarginals, very low. Superomarginals inset so that abradial margin of inferomarginals is exposed dorsally. Superomarginals bearing a distinct transverse ridge. Superomarginal ridge bearing at least one (adradial) spinelets; spinelets perhaps extending in series along the ridge. Inferomarginals bearing a lateral fringe of about five pointed conical to weakly flattened spinelets. Ambulacrals robust, not strongly overlapping proximally. First adambulacrals longitudinally elongate with large transverse muscle groove.
