Kenyapotamus ternani
Taxonomy
Kenyapotamus ternani was named by Pickford (1983). It is not extant. Its type specimen is KNM FT 3634. Its type locality is Fort Ternan, which is in a Serravallian terrestrial siltstone in the Upper Koru Series Formation of Kenya. It is the type species of Palaeopotamus.
It was recombined as Palaeopotamus ternani by Pickford (2007).
