It was recombined as Tremanotus canadensis by Whitfield (1882); it was recombined as Bucania canadensis by Chamberlin (1883); it was recombined as Salpingostoma canadensis by Ulrich and Scofield (1897), Twenhofel (1928) and Wagner (2023).
