Taxonomy
Bembexia ellenae was named by Conkin (1957). It is not extant. Its type locality is East Quarry of the Coral Ridge Brick and Tile Company, Coral Rdige, which is in an Osagean prodelta shale in the New Providence Formation of Kentucky.
It was recombined as Glabrocingulum (Glabrocingulum) ellenae by Kues and Batten (2001); it was recombined as Glabrocingulum ellenae by Gordon and Yochelson (1987) and Wagner (2023).
