Hippocardia hydei
Taxonomy
Bransonia hydei was named by Hoare (1990). It is not extant. Its type locality is Maxville Stone Co. quarry, west side of Ohio Rte. 668, ~1.1 km N Maxville, which is in a Chesterian/Brigantian carbonate limestone/shale in the Maxville Limestone Formation of Ohio.
It was recombined as Hippocardia hydei by Wagner (2023).
