Clathrospira infirma was named by Perner (1903) [Clathrospira infirma Barrande in Perner 1903]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Konigshof, which is in a Kralodvorian marine horizon in the Králuv Dvur Formation of the Czech Republic.
It was corrected as Clathrospira infausta by Perner (1907); it was recombined as Lophospira infirma by Horný (1997).
