Clisospira reinwaldti was named by Öpik (1930). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Mimospira reinwaldti by Rõõmusoks (1970); it was recombined as Laeogyra reinwaldti by Wängberg-Eriksson (1979), Frisk and Ebbestad (2007) and Wagner (2017).
