Arceodomus japonicum
Taxonomy
Conocardium (Conocardium) japonicum was named by Nishida (1968). Its type specimen is ASM 5501, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Entrance of Shuchikujo, Isa-machi, Miné City, which is in a Kashirian/Podolskian carbonate limestone in the Akiyoshi Formation of Japan.
It was recombined as Arceodomus japonicum by Yancey (1978) and Wagner (2023).
